I bought this pillow to make the transition to sleeping only on my side easier when I became pregnant. It is a wonderful pillow–except the area where your neck goes is very uncomfortable!

The seam of the inside curve on both ends is sewn while pulled very tightly, so when I position my head on top, this tight seam digs into my shoulder. I have tried to ease it by pushing it up against the headboard, or making sure the whole pillow wasn’t held taut, or draping it with an extra pillowcase, but nothing I do has helped. I wake up with a sore shoulder, which stinks because I love the rest of the pillow! I’m going to see if it’s returnable, and I’m going to try the one shaped like a “6″, and use my own pillow for my head. Oh well!

I really like this pillow. I can’t sleep on one side for the whole night so I was looking for a pregnancy pillow that didn’t need to be re-adjusted every time I turn over. This pillow supports my back and my hips. The only down side is it doesn’t really support my belly all that well. I have to use another pillow for that.

I bought this when I was 19 weeks pregnant after a friend recommended it. I’m now 23 weeks, and I don’t think I could sleep without it! It completely alleviated the back pain I was starting to feel while sleeping. I was using five pillows wedged around me to sleep, and I would constantly have to readjust them during the night. Now, this is the only pillow I use, and it stays put. My friend that made the recommendation bought the original Snoogle that doesn’t loop all the way around. She said if she had to do over again, she would get this one instead. I agree. This one gives back and belly support, and doesn’t need to be readjusted if you turn over. I originally thought this was too expensive for a pillow, but it’s worth every penny.

This pillow is huge – even in a king size bed. While it can be very confortable, I didn’t like it – particularly because (1) I wanted to use my own pillow under my head – which means I’m laying on outside of hudge pillow; and (2) when pregnant and needing to go to bathroom every couple hours, I felt like I had to wrestle or leapfrog a barrier to get out of bed each time. I found I preferred the below pillow – although it is not perfect either (since it is smaller and doesn’t necessarily stay in good position all night).

Let me start this review by explaining that I spent every day of at least two weeks researching pregnancy pillows and reading every review I could find. I finally settled on this pillow instead of a Fiberfill pillow because the price was less for the full body support that is seemed to provide in the picture. Well let me say that this might be one of those “great purchases” in life that I will be proud of for however long this thing lasts.

I was super picky in picking the pillow because not only did I find out that I was pregnant, but I have had severe traumatizing back/hip pain for the past five years. When you have back pain it is so easy to spend so much money on things that claim they will help. Sleeping was something that I dreaded because getting comfortable was such a chore, and my husband is a witness. I cannot lay on my back, and can only lay on my sides, rotating evenly through the night and sometimes my stomach. Once I am in bed, moving is really limited due to pain caused by movement itself.

I have had this pillow for about three weeks now and I can sleep on one side all night long and wake up better than I felt the day before. I can even sleep on the hip that hurts when I walk, because the pillow somehow supports so much of my body weight that there is no pain! I can also turn from one side to the other super easily even with my limited motion. The part where you put your head is perfect. My shoulder and neck used to hurt every morning when I woke up due to my old pillow not being supportive enough, but this pillow does the trick! Where your legs go on this pillow is also perfect. You can move your legs into any position you want and they are fully supported and super comfortable. I think that later on in the pregnancy if I experience any heartburn that this pillow will come in useful because turning on an angle, half on my side and half on my stomach, my head is propped up pretty high.

Overall I guess I could say that all the years that I spent juggling pillows from under my head to between my legs and bear hugging them too, that this is the perfect pillow. My husband has more room in our queen sized bed now than he did when I had my other pillow technique in high gear.

Two things that I will be doing to amend the pillow are making my own pillow case instead of spending a ton of money on a new one from the company, and also seeing if I can replace the seam on the inside curves at the top and bottom with an elastic band, as there are times that I really like to have it tight in my head/shoulder crease. Even that could not take away a quarter of a star from this review because the pillow is seriously that wonderful. You won’t be disappointed!!!

    - A thankful sufferer of back pain, and soon to be Mom!!!
