Question from hanna
Or did it just get lighter? I would love for my nausea to go away completely but it’s my first pregnancy and I don’t know how it will all turn out. I am 11 weeks.

I have heard that women have suffered with it the entire time, only during the first trimester, none at all. I think it really depends on the woman. I hope it eases up! Good luck!!!
mine never completely went away some days i didnt have it thou. but mine was caused alot by not eating if i didnt eat every couple of hours i would feel sick
With my first I wa spuking up until the minute my son was born. Witht his pregnancy the nausea has finally subsided. Everyone is different.
It just depends on the woman, every pregnancy is different. I’ve met pregnant women whose nausea completely went away after the first few months, some who never had much nausea at all, and some who were nauseous throughout the whole thing (Although it was worse in the beginning). Hopefully yours will go away!
Congrats and good luck!
The first trimester is always the worst. Just hang in there and it most likely will lighten around the second.
Mine went away at about 16 weeks.
Very few women suffer through it for the entire pregnancy. With most it is over by the 2nd trimester. With my first pregnancy, mine ended at exactly 17 weeks. Week 16 was the worst of it though. I’m in week 16 with this pregnancy, and while it has lessened considerably, it still isn’t all gone yet. Hopefully this one will be like my last, and it will all end next Saturday (the start of week 17 for me).
Close to 3 months is dissapears almost for everyone. Are you sure its not your pregnancy vitamins. My daughter is pregnant for the 2nd time and had morning sickness due to the prenatal vitamins. Her 1st pregnancy she had no morning sickness and had different vitamins.
It depends. every woman is different. In my first pregnancy it went away like clock work after week 13 (the beginning of second trimester). this time it just lightened up and it comes and goes… not fun. in the meantime find something that helps it subside. For me anything really sour (like sour warheads candy) helped control my nausea when I was preggers with my first. This time around nothing really helped except for extremely cold or hot foods. Try to see what helps you. Hope all gets better for you soon!
Girl, I was so, so sick with this pregnancy to the point where I was crying everyday b/c I had been sick for so long. Then, right at 12 weeks it just went away, and I haven’t been sick since then. I was and am really thankful b/c it was making it really hard to be excited about this pregnancy. I hope you get to feeling better soon and congratulations!
I hate to tell you this but I was still getting “morning sickness” on the way to the hospital to deliver my babies!
In my case it was morning/noon/night sickness and carried on for the full 9months on all 3 of my kids, but I have been told I was unlucky and usually people find it improves between 12-15weeks.
I found having a cup of tea and a dry cracker/digestive biscuit before getting up in the morning helped, as did peppermints for the nausea, but nothing got rid of it completely.
Here’s hoping you are not like me and get to be one of the lucky ones!
I’m 15weeks and it still continues lol. Like the other girls said its a hit or miss. Normally it stops around the second trimester but about 15% of woman continue to get it! Of course I’m still the one! I’m just waiting for it to stop. This is also my first pregnancy! But good luck!
I never threw up but was pretty nauseous or hungry throughout the 1st trimester. The second trimester was maybe once a week I got nauseous for no reason at all. So far being in the third trimester, the nausea strikes me everyday but it’s usually not too bad.
hello,
if you want read something about pregnancy
i just come accross this blog which may help you :-
I suffered bad sickness throughout my pregnancy (my 1st too) lucky enough it stopped at 18 weeks, however it did come back on the odd occassion, in my late pregnancy stages it did return but was no where near as bad as before. most only suffer it in their first trimester. only time will tell if you are one of the lucky ones… good luck and congrats on the pregnancy
It all depends. Every woman and every pregnancy are different. I was very sick the entire 9 months with my first child. It never once let up and I was miserable. However, if you nausea continues or becomes bothersome there are some great anti-nausea drugs out there and you could talk to your doctor about what’s right for you. In the mean time try some old tried-but-true remedies for nausea. Peppermint is a main ingredient in many anti-nausea medications. So find some peppermint candy and see if that helps! Also, warm flat coke sipped gently throughout the day may help as well. Avoid ever becoming hungry because when you’re pregnant hunger can quickly become nausea. Keep some saltine crackers nearby to munch on. Eating smaller meals more often through the day should also help. Best of luck to you!!!
i got sick the whole time i was pregnant morning noon night it didnt matter!!!! but most women are ok after the first 3 months. good luck
I’m alomst 16 weeks and I still get mine every once in a while.
Hang in there, mine eased up a lot after 13 weeks.
Congrats
yeah, mine went away completely, except for certain foods,, I used to love italian dressing and i cant eat it now without getting sick,, other than that ,, its gone,, so yes it can go away completely,, but like some of the other answers said,, some women get it throughout their pregnancy. I was preggo about 4 years ago and lost her, but i had a condition called hypernemisis gravitarum, not sure if that is the right spelling, but it is basically over active morning sickness,, that is what sucks. Hopefully your sickness will fade soon , and when it does,, you will definatley enjoy being pregnant- Many blessings to you !!!
NOPE!!!!!
Most do go away, but some exceptions like me, dont. My mom in law was sick 7 months nonstop vomiting.
I was vomiting 6 1/2 months and naseaus till 7. Then the 8th month I still got nauseus over certain foods. I delivered 1 month early.
I suffered from “morning sickness” from 10weeks-26 weeks then from 30weeks til the end. So it was really wierd how it went away for a month but it did. And Mine was REALLY bad. I got hospitalized a few times to get IV fluids into me. But it is different for every person and every pregnancy.
