Question from Amanda B
My sister has went tanning throughout her pregnancy. Her doctor says its ok if she stays hydrated and doesn’t over heat. I’m pregnant she bought me a tanning package. She is mad I haven’t used it yet. I don’t want to hurt my babies. Not sure a tan is worth it.

Oh my goodness. It is not a good idea to go tanning, especially when pregnant. You could boil the ambiotic fluid.
I tanned twice, both very short amount of times (10-12 mins) and the fan was on full blast. I was actually cold while laying there
I only needed 2 times as i have darker skin by nature, and it soaks the rays very fast.
I wouldn’t do it on a regular basis though.
as long as u only go a few mins at a time i don’t really think it can have to much effect. especially if the doctor says it is ok. ask you doctor if u have any questions on it
NO! dont do it!!!! its not healthy. i mean come on, cant you wait until they are born? its deffently not worth it lol.
DON’T DO IT! there is to much of a chance of over heating. just like you cant get in to a hot tub for the same reason. that extra heat could cause something to your baby.. you sister can just get over it. It your body and your baby.
-some tanning places can put your account on hold, until you are ready to use it again.. you have to tell them because of medical reasons.
first of all, it wont boil the damn amniotic fluid.
Second if you go for short intervals it wont hurt the baby, its not good to raise your body temperature too much, and that’s why they recommend not to tan, but if you go first thing in the morning when the tanning bed hasn’t been used much, they don’t get that hot.
My friend tanned throughout her pregnancy, and that is what her doctor told her. She found the tanning was extremely relaxing for her. If you are worried, talk to your doctor and see what he/she says.
