Yes you should most pregnancy test won’t show a positive result before at least a week after your missed date.

I took many tests, I did not get my first positive until I was already 6 weeks pregnant, and that was 2 weeks after my missed period.
I was using First Response which is supposed to be accurate 5 days before your expected period.
