  • Why would you want to not gain weight. That’s not healthy for the baby.

  • Not gaining weight is unhealthy.

If you are eating healthy foods, and exercising safely, then don’t worry about it.

I gained 35 pounds all together, and when you get closer to labor most women actually lose some weight.

  • You need to eat and gain some weight. The key is eating healthy when you are hungry. Keep carrots and healthy snacks with you to fulfill that hunger. Don’t eat that bad fast food and other unhealthy food and it’s not that good for the baby either. Watch out for fats and grease. Keep walking that is very good.

  • Sorry hunny there is no way to not gain duiring pregnancy

  • u might be having twins, ask them if your measuring big? i remember at my last visit almost 2 weeks ago, they told me i gained 11 lbs in 1 month i almost had a damn heart attack! so i been eating what i want but less of it,
    good luck

  • Perhaps eating lots of fruits and veggies. They’ll fill you up without a lot of calories.

Did you ask your doctor about being hungry all the time?

These people just don’t know how to read! Look at was she wrote people! She’s already gained 30 lbs when 20-25 is the healthy weight gain expected. And she’s hungry all the time.

Too much weight gain is bad for you and can lead to complications of labor and in the baby.

Talk to your doctor and discuss a food plan where you can make sure the baby is getting what it needs. Plus he/she will have good snack ideas for you when you get hungry between meals.

I think that you are being reasonable to be worried about weight gain especially since you are only months along.

    Unchecked weight gain is bad.

  • you need to gain that weight during the pregnancy momma, its for the baby. If you keep a healthy pregnancy you will lose it very fast.

most of the weight is the fluid
    plecenta
and the baby will br 7-8lbs full term

I have gain about 55 pounds and im 1 day over due today,
if you decide to breastfeed you will lose the weight quick aswell. Keep what you’re doing – and drink plenty of water…

  • You mean not gain weight on your arms, legs, bum etc.
You can not always avoid this but try to eat as healthily as possable.
    NEVER starve yourself tho.

  • Everyone (almost) gains weight during pregnancy! That’s what your body is supposed to do. You may be gaining more than you should, however I wouldn’t worry too much about it. Take a look at what you are eating. – healthy food or fast food? What do you snack on all day? Sweets and fatty food? Try cottage cheese, fruit, peanut butter. You should eat when you are hungry, but keep it in check.

  • It’s unhealthy not to gain weight during pregnancy. You should never try to diet when pregnant, eat when your body is telling you that it’s hungry. Your baby needs alot of nutrition.

  • It is normal to gain weight while pregnant. Some women gain up to 100 pounds. To control your weight gain you should just eat healthy. Try not to over eat. Make wise healthy decisions in your snacks ( fruits, veggies, nuts, etc.) Try chewing on ice cubes if you feel like you are hungry, but just ate. You need to gain some weight while pregnant. Just remember the baby will weight around 7 lbs. plus all the extra blood, fluids, placenta, etc. adds up too. Don’t worry it will come off once you have your baby.

  • as great as that sounds it cannot be done without causing harm to the baby. i understand you are upset about gaining weight, but you can always loose it after the baby– yes it will be hard, but i would rather gain a bunch of weight and have a healthy baby instead of not gaining enough and having a sick baby.

  • worry about that once the baby arrives… for now, do what is best for baby.. if you are walking and eating healthy foods, the weight you gain is imprortant for baby… now is not a time to be vain about your body.
    best of luck with baby!

  • you dont …………………..
while your pregnant its recommended you dont diet unless your doctor advises you to and come on its the only time you can gain a little weight and people will comment in a nice way ,so enjoy your pregnancy and the little extra weight you’ll loose it after
blossom and be proud of your bump

  • You must gain weight when you are pregnant. You have a growing baby inside of you, and a placenta and an umbilical cord. Those things all weigh something. All of that comes out of your body. After my son was born, the following day they had me get on a scale and I already has lost 25 pounds just in labor. I also came back to my usual weight pretty quickly. You will be up and taking care of your baby and that will take some of the weight off. Also, breastfeeding will help take it off. Remember to eat healthy foods. Fruits, vegetables and sources of protein.

Pregnancy is a time to remember and taking care of your child is worth every bit of the whole process. Enjoy yourself and your baby.

  • i am in the same boat, luckily i haven’t gained a total of 30…yet, but was told that to remain with in the proper range that i could only gain a half poung a week.
i can do this, i hope…i had monitered my weight before my most recent dr visit and didn’t gain any for at least the first three weeks then i ate more and in the latter three weeks gained 8 pounds ahhhhh!!!!

my first pregnancy i gained 50 pounds!
i don’t want to do that again.

so now i am super strict…not so much about amount but of what.

i will be eating many meals of fruit
avoid sugar as best i can (and it has been getting easier over the last 7-8 weeks) the most sugar i get is in chocolate milk….untill my next chocolate purchase which i will buy sugar free,
and eat good amounts of meat (in smaller portions)
and if after meat (no rice, maybe a cresent roll or two) i am still hungry….fruit fruit fruit.

    man i hope this works….
milk (plain) for small meals or snack
fruit for small meals or to fill me up
red meats and chicken for meals (heaviest meal midday)
no more then one sugary snack a day (like 1-3 small cookies)
and yougurt (plain or vanilla…contains less sugar)

also i am cutting out as much sodium as i can….

i only eat when i am hungry and that is all the time…(even sometimes when i am full i still want to eat…so i reach for milk of fruit)

this basic idea worked really well for three weeks then i slacked off and gained a lot……so i am going to be way more strict.

i swiched to 1%milk because i am drinking so much more and am contimplating switching to fat free.
and for staples in my refrigerator i swiched to sugar free and get the lower sodium version.
i already don’t eat fatty or high caloric foods, never have so i don’t have to swap those out.
i know artificial sweetners aren’t prefered for prego women, though i had gained so much during my last pregnany i was very ill for the last 2-3 months and for a year after.

hopefully in this four weeks i will ony gain 1-2 pounds….
i should probibly start swimming again!
