as long as your giving your baby all the nutrients it needs and not holding back what you eat she/he should be fine.
Well i was 5’7 and weighed 117 but its pretty easy for me to gain. It doesnt matter how much weight you gain, it just matters if you are eating enough, and the food that you are eating is healthy. good luck!
no u shouldn’t be worry if its not enough ur doc will let u know lucky u im 22 weeks and have already gained a total of 25 pounds and my recommended was 30 and im like half way threw
Everyone is different, hon, just look at Nicole Kidman, she did not even “bump” until her 7th month.
You aren’t supposed to gain A LOT of weight, you really aren’t supposed to gain more then 40 pounds. If it was a issue your doctor would say something, just make sure you are taking your vitamins. My little cousin is tall and skinny and only gained 15lbs and her baby is fine.
I was 5’9 when I got pregnant the first time and 125 lbs. I didn’t gain a lot of weight in the beginning, but at the end, I think I was about 160-something. It was crazy – I blame the holidays since my baby was born in December (Thanksgiving and all the holiday parties – yum!). As long as you are doing your best to eat properly and taking your vitamins, I would not be concerned as long as your doctor is not concerned.
Good luck!
I didn’t gain any weight until I went it for my 6 month appointment and found out I gained a whopping 10 pounds. So don’t worry it is still early.
no if it is your first you gain that much and specially if ur fit expect some weight on your last trimeste
my sister was a stick and weighed less than 100 lbs and also did not gain very much weight with her first daughter so do not worry just eat whatever as often as u can and your baby will be fine. i have a beautiful healthy niece from my sister so u and your baby will be fine. good luck
Your baby will be fine. I got pregnant with my first son and I was all of 98 pounds. I am five feet and it is in my appropriate weight range. I didn’t start to really gain weight until towards the last few months with my first son. Your baby will get all he/she needs from you. Don’t worry too much about it.
Your baby will also start gaining the bulk of their weight towards the end of your pregnancy. They start to add more fat to their body in preparation for the outside world.
I started my second pregnancy at 110 pounds and am only 120 pounds at 26 weeks (6 1/2 months). It’s okay, especially if you are getting regular check ups from your ob. So, breathe. You and your baby are fine.
I was 119 pounds pre-pregnancy and 5’8 also so we are almost the exact same! I am 6 months now and I have gained 9 pounds. It has always been very difficult for me to gain weight but I eat well and keep the baby nourished and he is very healthy and growing just fine!! Just keep eating well and your body will take care of the rest. Good Luck!
I’m 5’4 and 116. I’m 17 weeks and 6 days pregnant.
“Technically” I haven’t gained any weight because I lost three pounds in the first trimester and tho I have gained it back, I’m back at 116.
My midwife actually gave me the “you’re an idiot” look when I told her I’ve never been able to put on weight. She’s having me see a nutritionist.
After the appointment, I talked to my mom. She had 4 kids and only gained 3-5 pounds in her first and 2nd trimester, total. But, third trimester, she gained 20-30 lbs with each of us. I wouldn’t worry. Just make sure you are eating right, getting plenty of water, and taking your vitamins.
You’ll be fine. Just make sure you eat balanced meals, and eat when you’re hungry. There are women who have morning sickness so badly, they vomit throughout their entire pregnancies, actually LOSE weight, and still go on to have perfectly healthy babies. The human body is a wonderful thing.
Just eat well, drink lots of water, and don’t forget your prenatals!
