Question from whoever this is

I’m having a hard time getting myself to start back up with my massage therapy client again because my horrible morning sickness. Once in a great while I feel ok, but it’s not predictable. My husband doesn’t expect me to have a job, but I just feel a little guilty since I’m not like really far along in my pregnancy. But I am always sick to my stomch and am having a hard time eating much.

  • A lot of women take off some time in the beginning of their pregnancies due to morning sickness – then again near the end. To me that’s normal. I still went to work, but I never had morning sickness, just extreme fatigue and I took a few days off here and there.

  • If he is not expecting you to work then enjoy this time you have to be at home.

  • It’s up to you whether or not you work. Personally, I managed to work 12 hours night shifts while pregnant with twins and felt so crappy I lost 15 pounds in the first 4 months. This time around I haven’t felt quite as bad but morning sickness that lasted most of the day. While I don’t ahve a “regular job” I”m a stay at home mom with 3 year old twins. Days off don’t exist for me.

  • Maybe if you have a job where you can be flexible you can just schedule your clients a little later in the day than normal- or at the very least lighten your load considerably. If you have set hours, maybe you could just go part-time? Good luck!
