Question from Lotus
I know it has bacteria in it to promote good digestion and keep you “regular”, which would be wonderful for many pregnant women who have constipation. Does anyone know if it is ok to eat that kind of yogurt while you are pregnant?

i have heard that its best to stay away from things that could possibly contain listeria or certain types of bacteria found in milk. Its good practice to stay away from soft cheeses. Id ask your ob about activia.
You should ask your OB to be sure. I know that you have to be careful about un-pasteurized dairy, so you want to make sure it says that it’s pasteurized. However, the bacteria that promotes good digestion could potentially not be good for pregnant women. I would ask my doctor before eating it if I were you.
Theres nothing on the label that says it’s not safe for pregnant women. I’ve been using it, and quite like it.
I am pregnant with my third, haven’t had any problem with any, and yogurt has always being part of my regular diet, including Activia.
I don’t see why it wouldn’t be good for you, specially being pregnant: it has lots of calcium (which is good for you and your baby), it’s healthy and also it’s supposed to help you with your digestion.
ya that good for the baby and you too so you should do that
well really you would have to ask your doctor about the things you can and cannot eat while you are pregnant. they usually give you a paper that has those things on it good luck to you
I would think that yogurt would be okay. I havent heard otherwise. Perhaps you should ask the dr. just in case.
