My dad is cooking for my fiance and I tonight. He’s cooking mexican salmon, not sure exactly what that entitles but I know it’s salmon. He said that it’s safe to eat while pregnant but he’s not a doctor or pregnant women so I just wanted to double check. Is salmon safe to eat? I’m not sure if it is farm raised or wild salmon.

US FDA recommends 12 oz of fish per week for preggo women. And someone else mentioned the smaller the fish the less mercury… 100% correct. Predator fish have much higher amounts…so go for the wussy fish like haddock and pollock, salmon is fine too.
Yes, it’s definitely safe… and very good for your baby! Just don’t have it more than about twice/week.
i ate it. Thank god baby is fine. So just eat it. Its Okay as long as its not completely raw.
