  • The weight gain related to baby alone according to whattoexpect.com is 29lbs, baby, placenta, amniotic fluid ect. So I wouldn’t worry about it. I’m 32 weeks and have gained about 26lbs.

  • WHAT 18 pounds at 30 weeks, your gonna lose that the day u give birth, i was 145 when i got pregnant with my first and 208 when i delivered her, i went down to 166 right after birth, i dont think u have much to worry about, i wish i only gained that much during pregnancy, congrats on your baby.

  • Esme:

awww…i felt the same. but guess what (my baby is now 3 months) im 10lbs lighter than pre-prego weight. itll take your will…you have to eat healthy!! exersie??? PLEASE in between diaper changes, feedings, and rocking your baby…that equals a good work out!!!
dont worry! youll be just fine and prolly lose all baby weight within the first 6 weeks like me.
GOOD LUCK and enjoy the rest to the freebees! LOL

  • Typical weight gain during pregnancy is about 30-35 lbs. If you are overweight, generally 25-30 and underweight is about 35-40. 18 lbs at 30 weeks isn’t a lot and may even be considered low. I’m 38 weeks today and have gained 42 lbs, which is a little high. Don’t try to loose weight while you are still pregnant because that takes nutrients away from your baby. Don’t go crazy on junk food, but allow your body to do what it needs during pregnancy, including gaining a safe amount of weight. If you’re concerned, talk to your doctor. They know what’s best for you and they know what kind of a body you have. Just leave the dieting until after you give birth. Your son/daughter will be much healthier for it.

  • YOU HAVENT GAINED THAT MUCH WEIGHT AT ALL BABY, YOU WILL LOSE IT ALL NO PROBLEM. AFTER THE BABY IS BORN YOU VAN WORK ON LOSING THE NON BABY WEIGHT, I THINK YOU WILL DO GREAT CONSIDERING HOW GOOD YOU DID WITH NOT GAINING TOO MUCH WEIGHT DURING PREGNANCY. GOOD LUCK.

  • I am 29 weeks and I have gained 30lbs so I wouldn’t worry too much about it if I were you. As long as you are eating healthy and don’t have high blood pressure or diabetes than you’ll be fine. Do you plan on breastfeeding? I have heard that it helps you get back to your pre-pregnancy weight much faster than if you don’t. If you’re determined enough than you will lose it. Don’t worry too much about the weight right now because you can expect to gain at least another 10lbs (about a pound per week now), but remember your baby is gaining weight too. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy and try not to stress about weight too much because you will enough to worry about with a new life!

  • sweetie, i’m 27 weeks and i’ve gained 35 lbs. talk to me about losing baby weight.. lol

  • 18 pounds is not bad at all. if you gain 10 pounds in the next 10 weeks that will only be 28 pounds. breastfeeding took all my weight off fast and it took even more than i gained too. works great:) lol and long walks with baby
