Question from J M
I am 17 weeks preggers with my second child and I had some pretty substantial bleeding after sex. No cramps with it. I feel fine, just worried.

You need to call your Ob. you shouldn’t be bleeding at this point. you may need to lay off the sex too. don’t wait call.
Bleeding is always a sign that all may not be well. If the bleeding continues for a prolonged period or intensifies, you should definitely seek medical attention.
Call the doctor. My doctor told me spotting after sex was normal, but substantial bleeding isn’t spotting. It won’t hurt to go in for a check.
bleeding after sex can be caused due to the increased blood flow to “those parts” the cervix becomes incorged in blood, thus when its stimulated during sex it can cause some spotting. Its always best that you go to your OB if you have any bright red bleeding because it can mean that there is something else wrong. Many times doctors cant find out what the bleeding is caused from but you always want to check with them so as to avoid any complications
well i would contact your doctor immediatly… it might not be anything bad, however you really should contact your doctor if you have ANY bleeding during your pregnancy… good luck!
bleeding after sex or a dr’s exam is normal but if it’s alot you need to go to the ER
this is pretty common but i wd defintly ask your ob to be able to calm your own fears
Get on your phone and call your ob NOW. Your uterus could be pulling away from your body in the inside i ment your placenta could be pulling away from your uterus. The sex your are having could make it worse. You could have a tubal pregnancy to and not even know, Or this could be the way you body is trying to tell you that it is rejecting the baby meaning you might miscarry. I hope all is well Call your ob or go to the er asap. Don’t waste time asking us on here this is more of a ? for a health profess
I read someone else on here in another question stating that bleeding is normal after sex when you are pregnant. I have had 4 babies and am pregnant with my 5th and have had a very active sex life throughout all my pregnancies and have never once experienced bleeding. I would check with your doctor. Bleeding is never a good sign during pregnancy.
As its already been said it cant be a good sign it could mean a miscarriage. You should make an appointment with your doctor ASAP, you might even consider going to the ER.
best to go to the doctor – I don’t want to get you thinking of bad things, but hopefully it’s nothing, but could be serious.
have you had a scan if not best to get one. get to see a doc i had bleeding after sex and it was placenta previera(not sure of the spelling)if it that it can be serious to you and your baby
