Question from zlosnica_13

I had an Mirena IUD removed last month. My last period started on March13th and ended March 16th. I am unsure how long my cycles are, when can I take a pregnancy test and which test to use for accurate results?

  • first response 5 days sooner… They all work about the same. take one a couple days before your next period is due.

  • You can take a test now.. If you’re pregnant it should show positive since your period is technically due today.. if you’re on a 28 day cycle, it was actually due on Saturday.
If you’re pregnant you can test now with pretty much any test and get an accurate result. I reccomend the ClearBlue digital tests that say “pregnant” or “not pregnant”… I took one of those 2 days before I expected my period and it gave me a positive result and I am, in fact, pregnant.

    Good luck!

  • I use EPT. That’s the one i’ve found the most luck with. I would test within the next few days, but it could just be that you’ve had that removed, and it’s taking time for things to get straightened out.

  • You are to wait until you have missed you period by one week. If I were you I would try on April 18 or so. Any test will give pretty accurate results.

  • You can take any HPT test now, as you are technically late for a 28 day cycle, if that’s a normal cycle for you. But buy a 2 pack or more, because if the first one comes back negative and you still haven’t started in a week, you’ll want the second one. I’ve never had a problem w/ the equate, or the digital ones, they all seemed accurate to me, telling me no when I wasn’t and yes when I was ;D

    Good luck!
