I’ve been told that the bible says that a husband and wife should not have sex if the wife is pregnant. Does anyone know what any of the religious texts (Qur’an, Bible, etc) say about this, and why? Please include citings, if possible, thanks.

(Note: I am studying to be a midwife, so I know about all the physiological reasons for or against sex while pregnant. I’m looking strictly for information on the religious views. Thanks!)

For the past couple of days I have been having sharp pain in my lower abdomen on the side close to the groin. I am 16 weeks pregnant and I called my midwife today and she said that it was strained groin something. Well its to late to call now and I was wondering why would I get the pain while sitting or laying down. It also hurts when I empty my bladder sometimes.

The pain is sharp and only last a couple seconds.
